As a result, I understand how crucial it is to keep production moving ahead smoothly without sacrificing creative integrity.
Creative problems that crop up with actors usually stem from a lack of preparation, a misalignment between actor and script, or miscommunication between cast and other creatives. I work with actors and filmmakers to avoid these common issues.
Before production, I work with actors to prepare roles (especially useful when rehearsal time is short or nonexistent) and with directors to hone their vision. On set, I coach performances, mediate between cast, director, and writers, and help filmmakers achieve the dynamic variety they need in their edits.
